Controller Troubleshooting FAQ's

01.The controller will not turn ON. What should I check?

• Check that the input supply voltage is 415V.
• Check that all three phases (R, Y, B) are present.
• Ensure the MCB is switched ON.
• Make sure the unit ON switch on the controller is in the ON position.

• Check the input supply connection.
• Check the motor connection.
• Check whether the motor is drawing higher current than its rated current.

  • Check the water level in the tank.
  • Confirm the float is connected as per the wiring diagram.
  • Keep the Float Auto / Bypass switch in the Auto position.
  • Keep the Auto / Manual switch in Auto mode.
  • Check the Auto / Manual switch – if it is in Manual mode, press the ON switch to start the motor.
  • Check whether the upper tank is full.
  • Check the thermal relay – if it has tripped, reset it to start the motor.
  • Check whether the toggle timer is ON.
  • Check the float connections.

• Check the motor connections at the panel and at the motor terminal.
• Interchange any two of the R, Y, B wires at the control panel terminals.

This indicates a phase-related fault – SPP (Single Phasing), VUB (Voltage Unbalance) or RP (Reverse Phase).
• Check that all three phases (R, Y, B) are present.
• Check the phase sequence of the input connection and interchange wires if required.
• Check the phase-to-phase voltage.

• Check the water level at the sump – if no water is present, the panel trips on a Dry Run fault.
• Check the dry run current setting in the control panel.

• Check the overload current setting in the control panel.
• Check the motor condition – it may be drawing more current than normal.

The input supply voltage is higher than the high voltage setting in the control panel.
• Check the high voltage setting in the control panel.
• Wait for the supply to return to a normal level.

The input supply voltage is lower than the low voltage setting in the control panel.
• Check the low voltage setting in the control panel.
• Wait for the supply to return to a normal level.

• Check whether the upper tank is actually full.
• Confirm the float connections are correct.

• Check the water level in the sump.
• Confirm the float connections as per the connection diagram.
